Summer at Vulcania: 3 more new features to discover
After a successful start to the season, Vulcania kicks off the summer season with 3 eagerly-awaited new attractions. Located just 20 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, in the heart of the Auvergne volcanoes, the park of volcanoes and planet Earth will be offering the following new attractions from the start of summer:
- a completely revamped version of the Terre en colère attraction,
- the C’est pas sorcier les volcans animation
- a new immersive night-time show: Vulcanova, la Nuit des Enchanteurs.
New products for summer 2025
While the first visitors of the season have been able to enjoy the new attractions offered since the park opened (the giant-screen film Les Diables des Volcans and the immersive and interactive Terre de Volcans space), three additional new attractions will be on offer this summer: the Terre en colère attraction, the C’est pas sorcier les volcans animation and, finally, the brand-new Vulcanova, la Nuit des Enchanteurs sound and light show.
1. Angry Earth
The Terre en colère attraction gets a facelift, with a new scenography and new video animations for an enriched experience that’s even more dynamic and interactive. With never-before-seen sets, incredibly intense images and content on the power of natural phenomena, some of which are the result of climate disruption, this totally revamped version offers a new approach to today’s environmental issues.
2. C’est pas sorcier les volcans
A captivating presentation by a mediator from Vulcania’s scientific team, enabling park visitors to learn all about volcanoes in just 30 minutes (how they work, where they are, what their differences are, what an eruption looks like, the work of volcanologists…).
3. Vulcanova, the Night of Enchantment
In July and August, Vulcania is offering 10 dates to extend visitors’ exploration of the park into the evening! With the new show Vulcanova, la Nuit des Enchanteurs, spectators plunge into a magical nocturnal show where sound and light illuminate Vulcania’s magical atmosphere. A brand-new show area has been set up for the occasion, in a magnificent green setting that’s a must-see!
This fascinating journey blends science and legend, offering an unforgettable evening rich in emotion and surprises (July 16, 22, 29, 30 and August 05, 06, 12, 13, 19, 27).
The show is included in the day ticket on these dates. It is also possible to take advantage of a night-time rate with access to the park from 6:00 pm on these evenings.
A rich program all summer long
Professor Yapadrisk’s shows
Expériences, c’est show!, Yapadrisk and La flamme des Volcans will be presented every day until August 31. The latter is presented in an enriched version thanks to a giant interactive screen, bringing a new dimension to the show.
Astronomical evenings
Three evenings to explore the sky with the naked eye or telescope, with outdoor activities, workshops led by the scientific team and immersive experiments under the Astrodôme. A chance to raise your eyes to the stars while keeping your feet firmly planted on the ground.
The Astronomiales will be held on July 23, August 7 and 14. Participation in the Astronomiales is included in the day ticket for these dates. It is also possible to take advantage of a night rate with access to the park from 7:00 pm on these evenings.
Must-sees to (re)discover
The Namazu roller-coaster, voted best European novelty when it opened in 2021, takes park visitors through an active seismic zone. An adventure for the whole family or just a few friends… hang on!
France’s largest Planetarium invites park visitors to explore Space through sessions with scientific animators (Ce soir dans le ciel and L’Aventure volcano-sidérale) and films (VAST for adults and Noisettes for children).
Le Réveil des Géants d’Auvergne (Awakening of the Auvergne Giants ) is a Vulcania must-see, presenting the various volcanic eruptions through a dynamic cinema experience that leaves no one indifferent.
